I received this message from the NORCOLD recall co-ordinator today. Please read the message below. I've replied and asked for specific information and as soon as she sends it to me, I will post on THIS FORUM.

To the Texas Boomers Wagon Master:

I am contacting you on behalf of Norcold Incorporated. In 2002, Norcold initiated a safety recall on specific model refrigerators. While we have been successful in locating and repairing the majority of them, we are still in the process of finding the remaining active population.

We have been working with other coordinators of various rallies by providing information that allows any RV owner to determine if they have a recalled refrigerator. We would like to offer and ask you to add a one page 7" x 9" flyer describing the Norcold recall identification information to the rally packets for your various rallies. It provides all the information an owner needs to know and most importantly, how to get the refrigerator repaired at no cost to him or her.

If you will let me know for each rally approximately how many attendees you are expecting, an address to send the information, and any other rally event information that you may have, I will be happy to send enough flyers to give one to each RV owner. This can be a very valuable gesture and prevent an attendee from incurring vehicle damage or most importantly, possible injury.

Received a reply email from Laura Matusiak of Norcold with a link to a website describing the units they are trying to locate. She explained in her email that this is an ONGOING recall affecting units built from 1997-2000.

PS: Ray, how are you doing? I was looking through 07 National Rally photos the other day and of course came upon our "infamous" hillbilly band event...We sure looked hillbilly, didn't we!!!!
