I have a Norcold 1200LRIM that has developed a leak in the cooling assembly at the burner area. Fortunately, we did not have a fire. I had the recall completed about 60 days ago and the leak was not apparent at that time.
My question now is, has anybody else had a similar problem, and if you did, how did you take care of the problem? I am aware that from this point on it is'nt going to be cheap.
Any help would be appreciated.

A remanufactured cooling unit from rvmobile.com, or other such company may fit your needs.

I am not a big fan of rebuilt cooling units unless you are going to trade the coach in with in the year. By the time a cooling unit rots out in one area, the entire tubing system is suspect to rot out in another area soon thereafter. If you are going to keep it, I would buy a new cooling unit from Norcold and if you are mechanically and electrically minded, with some help you can replace it yourself.

Thanks for the tips on my problem. Since I asked the question here, I thought that I would fill every body in on my progress to date.
About two months ago I had the Norcold recall done at my local Camping World. a temperature actived "kill" switch was installed.
This last week the cooling unit sprang a leak at the burner area. I contacted local Norcold service reps (3), and asked what they felt would be the best way to go. They all recommended a new refer (cost around $4,000.00)
The best that any of them came up with for replacing the cooling unit was $2,000.00.
I then contacted Norcold and asked if by any chance was the cooling unit in my 1200RIM involved in the recall. I gave them the serial number, and they said yes.
I then contacted the Camping World repair facility that had worked on the recall two months ago, and asked them why the cooling unit was not replaced? They had no good answer.
The status at this time is a new cooling unit is being shipped from Norcold, and CW will install it at "no charge" to me.
This is a far cry from the original responses to my problem by the service people.

Glad to hear that Norcold and CW are taking care of you. Once in awhile it is nice to hear a positive story on a fridge!

Todd, apparently someone did not run the numbers through the Norcold system to see what Service Bulletins or Recalls effected it. Glad to hear you will be taken care of with a new cooling unit and no labor costs. Congratulations.
