OK, I tried the search feature first but I couldn't find an answer and I am pretty sure this has been discussed before. My Norcold 1200 fridge freezes everything in the lower compartment. Even on the warmest setting I have this problem. Any ideas. Thanks

bj, check the temp sensor which is located on the cooling fins in the fridge compartment on the back. It should be on the second fin from the right and placed about 1/3 of the way down. This might have been dislodged.

You may also want to add a fan to circulate air and have more uniform temperatures. Cold air falls and the lower section will be colder than the top.

Folks, just FYSA. I talked to the Norcold factory and they told me that the thermistor went bad. They instructed me to cut the thermistor wires (this would place the fridge in manual mode) and run the fridge in manual mode until I could get the thermistor replaced. I ordered a new one ($20) and plugged it in and everything seems to be back to normal.

An interesting aside is that I asked the salesperson that ordered the thermistor for me if this was a common item (I suspected not since it had to be ordered). His response was that in 102 months (that is how long they have been using that computer system) this was only the second order for thermistors. Hmmm.....
