Hi, We have a 2007 Fleetwood discovery 39 Ft. with a Norcold 1210IMD refrigerator. Saturday night as we were just sitting in the Rv reading, my wife noticed that the display was completely blank - no lights or indicators. We opened the door and the light in the refrigerator was also out.

I think it might be a fuse somewhere in the control panel. I am not sure where this is accessed. I opened the panel outside and see the AC plug and a small circuit boards that only shows the back of the board. Where should I look and what do you think may be the cause?

We were hooked to 50amp shore power and operating on automatic. I checked the AC receptacle that the unit was plugged into and it had correct power. We also had a full propane tank. None of the controls worked - all of them were blank/dark.

The unit is current on all recalls BTW.

Thanks!

Steg

Since you have had the recalls done, the first thing to check is to see if the red light on the black recall cutoff switch is on. If it is, that means the switch has tripped and there is a chance your cooling unit is bad.

If the light is not on, there are 2 fuses on the control board. You may have to remove the black cover to see them. The cylindrical glass fuse is for 120V AC. The 12V fuse is the automotive-style fuse. It should be 5 amp. Since your display is out, I would guess that if it's a bad fuse, it's the 12V one.

On the other hand, you said the interior light is on, and since that operates on 12V, it would seem to me the 12V fuse is good. Another possibility is you may have a bad circuit board.

He said the interior light was out. I'd check the 12VDC fuse on the control board first.

It may also be a faulty recall black box.

Right. I misread that. The interior light being out makes it fairly likely it's a 12V fuse either on the board or in a fuse panel somewhere in the RV as long as the recall switch isn't tripped.

I managed to pull the cover on the control panel (Bad location for the kitchen drain pipe) and pulled a bad 5 Amp large spade fuse. Thanks to all of you! thanks to our friends at harbor freight for having good selections of automotive fuses.

WOW, Problem, a couple possible causes, inspect and locate defective part, fixed, and confirmation of fix. All in 6 posts, this has to be some kind of a record.

This is exactly why this is the only RV website I'm registered with. Looked at some others and nothing is even close.

It would have been 4 posts if I hadn't mis-read what the OP said and had to be corrected.
