Norcold shows no on ac use

My norco refrig shows no when I try to make it go on ac power...after about twenty seconds it flashes no...checked and it has power to it...where would the fuse be inside it....is two door 2001 unit...any suggestions on what to check and how before I call service in...you guys have fixed every problem I have had so far...cudos for this site..

I'm sure you've checked...but having done this myself... are you sure you have 110 power to it and not just 12v?

I once had it where it gave (I think) that message and ran on propane... turned out that a breaker on my new inverter was off and I didn't realize it for two days.

Have you checked the 120V outlet the fridge is plugged into?

When you say there is power to the fridge, I assume you mean there is 120V power to the receptacle behind the fridge.

I'm not familiar with the 2-door Norcold models, but the 4-door models have a tubular glass fuse for 120V on the circuit board. I would be very surprised if the 2-door models didn't have the same fuse. On the 4-door models, the circuit board is under a black plastic cover in the back of the fridge.

If there is power to the receptacle and the fuse on the circuit board is good, the next thing I would check are the cartridge heaters. The circuit board could also be bad.

Yep receptacle has power, so I will check fuse,,,thx for help. Do you know if there is a service manual online anywhere

Well ok....had blown fuse...caused by heating element going out...got one cheap ....was horrible to get old one out, new one in cause of rust...but thanks to son and friend,job got done...thanks again for great advice..right on money...all is well again......THANKS. Love you guys on this forum...always get good advice.
