My wife and I are still thinking about all the information we've learned about the Norcold problems and recall fix. My reading on this topic leads me to think most agree that the recall fix does not fix the problem but
may only prevent a fire by shutting down the 12V system to the fridge but that is probably after the other components are toasted or after a fire has already started (maybe major fire).
Let's assume your fridge does develop the problem, overheats, the fix shuts the fridge down, but after damage is done to the fridge or fire has started and my fire suppression system hopefully puts the fire out before major damage to MH is done. Still damage to fridge and motorhome has occurred.
1. Will Norcold replace and/or fix the fridge ??
2. Will Norcold repair the damage to the MH ??
3. Will your insurance cover the fridge ?
4. Will your insurance cover the MH repair or replace MH of total lost??
Let's assume the fridge develops the problem and the fix does work and only fridge is damaged.

I'm thinking Norcold will not replace or fix either because the recall was suppose to fix the problem.
I'm thinking that insurance will not cover since fix was inadequate by Norcold and they will not pay me because I knew of the problem (real and potential) and did not replace cooling unit or replace the entire fridge with one which has no known problems.
What do you all think?? I think Norcold should pay the entire cost but will they???
