For those of you who, like me, only have a combo MW/convection oven in your RVs, I recommend you look into buying a NuWave oven. They are smallish (will fit on your countertop), inexpensive (mine with a 3" extender was $139) and cook as well if not better than a regular oven. My wife used to to cook the Thanksgiving meal in and it was as tender and juicy as you could imagine. We rarely use our regular oven anymore because the food is SO good in the NuWave. We got ours at Bed, Bath and Beyond but you might get a better deal online.

We have 2 one in the stick house is full size and she found a mini at Khol's which just right size for the MH. She love's it. Bakes, roasts and grill like and quite fast at cooking.

We've got the big one at home & boy does it make a tasty roasted chicken! I didn't realize they had a mini. That'd be perfect for the coach. I'll have to wait for one of my Kohl's $10 cards & combine it with a 20 or 30% off shopping coupon & get that little one.

Please don't see this as a hijacking of this thread.

I have been considering buying one of these. I've noticed that all of the replies so far are positive, but I would like to hear more real world experiences with it. Has anyone had any problems with their NuWave Oven? Is it cheaper to use than a convection oven? I am close to pulling the trigger, but still have reservations. Thanks to everyone.

You're not huijacking, just asking good questions.

We have had zero problems other than I now eat more than I should because the food is SO much better prepared in the NuWave. As to the coast versus a convection oven, I really don't know. My live-in gourmet chef says that the NuWave is an infrared oven although it is also considered a convection. She likes the idea that you can take something directly from the freezer and put it in the NuWave and cook away.

I have no complaints about either the use or the cost of the NuWave.

Just cooked a couple of Trigger Fish fillets in the NuWave. Done in 9 minutes - tender, flakey. Maybe this eating healty isn't all bad. Wife couldn't eat her piece. Such a shame.

Why would you carry something you don't need? A micro convection does the same job and it is permanently installed. We recently had to use a nuwave when our micro convection died, but it doesn't work very well for baking potatoes. I replaced the micro convection.
