Generator runs but shuts down when it wants. Have changed oil, oil filter, gas filter and have put two cans sea foam in 24 gal tank. Runs beautifully and then just stops at different times each time I run it. Any help would be appreciated I have been reading everything posted on the subject and trying their ideas but still have the problem.

Welcome to the forum. I changed my fuel pump to eliminate the same issue. Cliff

Most new onans will not run unnecessarily if not producing power. While its running check the voltage and frequency coming off of the genset.

Are your slip rings clean?

I am also having issues mine shuts off when the AC reaches temp and shuts off. No load and it shuts Down? It's a 2008

Ours ended up being the fuel pump as well. Onan has a problem with them. I keep a spare. I have also noticed that it sometimes shuts down when a large load is suddenly removed. Anytime it becomes a regular event I replace the fuel pump and its fixed in 5 minutes.
