I am just wondering if you are talking about a different switch.
Turning stuff off for storage is easy. I wouldn't bother with adding a switch for the refrigerator in that circumstance...
A switch that some add to the Residential Refrigerator is for energy savings while boondocking. It simply disables the heaters used in the defrost cycle...so you can conserve on your power usage.
