Onan 4k generator won't stay on

I have a 4k Onan Generator that won’t stay on. I used it on a Friday for about 2 hours and then on Monday coming home for about 2 hours. Then when we left on Wed. it won’t run. It will start but shut off after about 5 seconds. Any ideas why it won’t stay on.

Silly, but is the fuel tank over 1/4?

Paul, are you sure it runs on gasoline and not LP gas? What is it in? Have you checked the oil level? By the way, welcome to iRV2.com.

mine did that and it was the brushes. did you read the codes?

Had the same problem, service found nothing wrong with generator, but that the
GFI breaker in the bathroom had a short and would kick the generator breaker out. Have 2000 Jamboree GT with breaker under bed. Replaced breaker and it continues to run now. Maybe this will help.
