Onan 5.5 gold, I need to choke it!!

Just back from Bristol {NASCAR} and the last night there my Onan would not start.
Everything sounded strong but it would not fire, so I took the cover off and held
what I think was the governor lever down. It fired right up and not a hent of a
problem, cept I have to do this everytime I start it now. Have not got a book yet!

It appears to me that the electric choke is not choking, and there is a lot of electrical
switches and diaframs that have to be activated to get this to happen. I need 3 semister
hrs. in Marquis gold chock!!!! Anyone been there and done that??? Oh the WIX filter # is
57398 and cost $10.29 at the highest auto store in town. coopcolt THANKS YOU!!!!

Book came in from CUMMINS ATLANTIC in Chesapeake Va. thank to the help of Terry!
It was not a lot of help apply 12V. to heater choke, vacuum diafram should not
leak down and so forth.

After a careful look-see found that the GOLD SCREW had backed out of the heater
choke SHAFT, that holds the arm that goes to the choke butterfly. the shaft has
4 flat sides, and of course the arm opening has 4 flat sides, and the screw keeps
them mated together. So she is up and running for now, may check the brushes
befor Daytona. TENN.VOL.
