When I took delivery of my new to me 9 year old Fleetwood Storm, with two air conditioners, the Intellitec Power Management System (Sheds so that both compressers are not running at the same time) , the Service Techtold me to leave the 20 amp switch shut off and only turn on the 30 amp switch coming out of my 5500 Genny. The PMS worked fine in the summer, keeping everything plenty cool, unless we had to use some internal appliances or we were hooked up to a crappy CG pedestal.

Question: Can I run my rear A/C from the 20 amp portion?

If so, during the hot heat I could run the Genny with both the 20 and 30 amp switches in the on position?

Should I flip the 20 amp on too and see what happens?

Why did he tell me to leave the 20 amp genny switch off?

I know that the PMS runs both A/C from the 30 amp switch or it wouldnt have been on, but in the extreme and excessive heat, it would have been nice to know that the genny would run both without the PMS.

This post Running both A/C units with genset is discussing the same basic issue (Using generator for A/C operation in a Fleetwood product). Check the documents listed in post #11.
