I have a 2006 Fleetwood with an Onan 5500 genset with about 250 hrs on it. Generator runs flawlessly while the rig is stationary or while rolling down smooth road. When I hit a bump such as a rough expansion joint or a railroad tracks the genset cuts out for just a second or less, recovers and continues to run fine. Of course this causes havoc with the roof A/C units, thermostat, and power converter.
I've checked and there are normally no status codes when this happens. In one case the genset shut all the way off and I extracted a code that indicated the genset was shut off with other than a stop command - not helpful at all.
I've searched for any loose or chaffed wires and found nothing.
Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!
