Can anybody tell me if the Oil filter and fuel filter are availible from anyplace other than an Onan dealer.
Also any help with part # would be great.
I don't want to remove the filter unless I have one in hand.

Most automotive stores can cross reference your Onan part number. I use NAPA. They make good filters. Make sure you take your exact generator model number with you. See if you can find the air and oil filter numbers from your existing filters or if it is like mine, there is a label that has the numbers on it attached to the generator.

You can get the oil filter in the Fram brand from you local Federated auto parts store. They do not carry the funny shaped air filter. Haven't changed our fuel filter yet. The local RV dealer ordered me some more Onan brand oil and air filters. He is a Onan dealer so a fuel filter should be easy also. With only about 90 hours on the genny I haven't changed the fuel filter yet, but should get one and pack it along if the need should ever come up.

I've had Oreilly cross the 5500 oil filter, and they brought me one that fit the threads, but wasn't long enough. It was a white Wix. When I crossed it myself, I found the one that is the 100% match, and it's longer. It's a black Wix. Just be sure and take it with you and match them up.
