Onan 5500 problem

Hope there is an easy solution for our Toy Hauler generator,, if not Itís going to a service center Wednesday. I have a 1/4 tank of gas in fuel station and Iím getting no action on the generator. The start/stop will flash red like normal and I can here a noise like something is trying to happen but nothing. Itís fresh gas and has been working fine up to yesterday. We donít use a ton but getting ready for a trip next weekend that may or may not happen now. Been serviced regularly. Thanks

Generator shuts off at ľ tank so you donít run your coach outta gas. Fill it up and keep it above 1/4. Youíll be fine.

Dumb question, but don't most toy haulers have two gas tanks. One is for the generator, the other for the toys. When you said you added fuel to the fuel station, does that mean you only have one tank. Your signature doesn't state what kind of toy hauler you have.

Not a coach. It's a Toy hauler.

I have one 30 gallon gas tank. Gas for generator is ďsupposedĒ to be pulled from that tank, according to the dealership.

What does this mean? starter turning over? Motor trying to start but no go? Battery dead or slow turn over?

When it is cold you will hear a noise as the battery engages along with glow plugs to heat up for start. May take a minute plus to kick over..
