Hello all,
Our Stator has been rewound, we picked it up Saturday. The rotor was installed last week soon after receiving from Bridgeway of Mt. Clemens Mi. Rotor install was a bit of a chore due its bulk, access, magnetic pull as well as alignment to the bolt pattern. We thought that the Stator bolt up would be an issue due to the magnetic field pushing or pulling and had made up some headless bolts for alignment. This proved to be a moot point as the field seemed to be relatively even all around, bolt up was a snap. The rest of the assembly was systematical and and easy due to DW's idea of photo archiving all disassembly steps, and a good shop manual. About 5hrs. spent to put all back together.
We checked all clearances and rolled over the engine by hand just to be sure. Next was to attempt start and all we get is a click

. Looked for the usual red flags, none were evident. We did or thought we saw a fault code of 3 blinks followed by 2. We tried to clear faults, primed engine and attempted start and once again all we got was "click". During our wait for Stator and Rotor we changed oil, checked and replaced filters. batteries appear to be charged as the bus diesel fires easily, fuel tank is full. We will check all connections and load check solenoid and starter in the morning but for now a glass of wine seems like a good idea.
If anyone has some words of wisdom we are all ears. Thanks in advance to all.
