Onan 7.5DKDFJ Generator Fuel Shut Off Solenoid

My Onan genset won't start without manually moving the fuel shut off solenoid open by hand. The solenoid has (3) electrical lugs. The top electrical lug has power while cranking. This lug also has a second wire to the lift pump. Second lug, 3 o-clock postion, has no power while cranking. Bottom lug, 6 o-clock position, has no power. It may be ground lug.

I understand that this solenoid is similar to the chassis engine fuel shut off in that it has a run position and a hold position. I would like to know the power sequence when starting and running the genset. Bottom line, is it the solenoid or power distribution to the solenoid? Being a 12 volt device I'm tempted to just test it by jumping 12 volts to the lugs but don't want damage anything.

How is the coolant level? Mine will start then shut down after about 30 seconds with low coolant.
