Customer unit in Itasca Class A...
In all my years, have never run across a broken drive belt on one of these. It started with the typical 32 code. Hooked up the breakout box in 12VDC mode and had voltages thru the quadrature ranging from 50VAC to 0 all over the place, very erratic. Excited it on 24VDC and had voltages from 80 to zero, again very erratic. So I pulled the brush block and cranked it over.. sure enough, erratic rotor movement... sometimes it would spin with the engine cranking, sometimes it wouldnt...
Broken Belt @ 2200 hrs on the genset...
Brushes are toast too! (those should be about an inch longer) Pic attached
I'll post pics of the broken/trashed belt once I get it out and apart.
