I hope I am in the right place with this. I posted in a different forum and a nice gentleman told me I might get more help here. I just joined and this is my 2st try to get help. I am finding out a lot of things in these forums, and there seems to be a lot of great people on here also.

This is our 1st Motor home, we have had several 5th wheels over the years but purchased this 2008 Itasca Ellipse lasts Sept. We love it. My husband wants to go all the time. But there are a lot of new things to deal with in the Motor home.

When we set our EC 30 to Auto Start, it will start the generator, and then run until the batteries are charged, then shut off. But it will not restart the second time, it says "“Fault Signal Lost" in the window”. We have taken it to the local dealer and he hasn’t been able to find the problem either. He thought maybe the batteries were bad so my husband bought new batteries, that didn't change anything. Has anyone got any suggestions?

I would talk to Onan. Don't know if this still works, but was a great help when I installed mine in 2005:

Call ONAN headquarters, 763-574-5000 & ask for a tech on the EC30. I talked to John, who at that time was the head trainer on the system. He was very helpful in assisting my install. Hopefully he is still there.
