Cool Onan Emerald Plus solenoid valve leaking

My solenoid valve has a very small leak. I took it apart to find the o ring had split. I installed a new ring and added the paste to try and seal it to no avail. Ordered a new one but it didn't fit for 2 reasons. One, mine ports are on top and bottom of valve so the hoses didn't align properly, no slack or room. Second, the ports on the new one are larger than the old one. I guess my only hope is to change hoses to fit the newer model. I can't bush it do to location. Any ideas on stopping the leak? I only have one hand with feeling so I'm looking for the easy way out also the safest. Don't really want to take to mechanic if I don't need. Thanks

I would visit or contact a Cummins-Onan Dealer.

Cummins Power Generation Distributor and Dealer Locator

They are the experts.
