Onan generator

I have an onan generator 5.5 kW in my 2000 fleetwood 32v. When I first start the gen. Most of the time no power s being produced. When I shut it off and wait a few seconds then restart it everything works fine. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Allow enough run time to get past time delay built into transfer switch. If you still have an issue check power to transfer switch as it could be either component.

Onan generator

I checked the power at the first junction box coming directly from the generator before it goes into the motor home. No power, shut down, restart, power is on. The time delay takes about 10 to 15 seconds.
