Onan Marquis 5000 about 1996

Model BGM Series F. I have replaced the plugs, Air filter Fuel filter, and the oil level is full and clean. The problem is I start it up and about 12 minutes of running with one AC on it just dies. I am at my wits end trying to figure this one out. Please help, I have been knocking out one problem after another with my 96 Fleetwood Pace Arrow Vision.

It is possible that your Onan, like mine (Marquis Gold 5500), has two fuel filters. The obvious one, up front near the air filter on the 5500 has been discontinued and they have a kit to take is out of line. The other fuel filter is on the bottom rear just before the pump. It is also possible that Fleetwood added another between the tank and the generator. YMMV. Good Luck

You might try running it from a gas can held above the generator. If it runs O.K. then, it's probably your fuel pump or gas line. Blowing the line out or sucking on it with a hand vacuum pump might reveal a bad gas line that allows the pump to suck air. If the fuel line checks out, the fuel pump would be next.

never a easy fix

I will trace out the line and hopefully the problem will reveal itself. Thank you so much for your response.
