Is this worth it for 400? It’s in pretty good condition and runs good.

Is it worth it?

Priced a new one of those?
I'd say $400 is worth it long as it doesn't have thousands of hours on it. Looks to be in nice shape like you said.

As was said, not many hours and runs OK it's well worth $400

If it was me, I’d snag it quickly. A lot less than than when I was looking for an Onan.

I paid $1000 Canadian for one, and was happy to find it. My old one was kapoot. They last almost forever, so they dont come up that often. When they do, people want good money for them. Rvs suck without a generator if you boondock at all. It was a bit of work to change, but not too bad. I had to add a new ground to the frame when I added the new to me used one. The spark was weak, and we were having trouble starting it, even though it ran great in the rv we took it from. A new ground strap from the genny to the frame solved the problem.

Give Cummins/Onan a call with the model/serial numbers etc. They should be able to help you. Here are two numbers I use.....

800-888-6626

763-574-5000

Best luck, let us know how you came out.

Is it worth it? Let me put it this way.. I'll take it if you don't want it.

But.. at $400 I'd be running the serial number through NCIC (national Criminal Information Center) to see if it had been reported stolen.

THat is close to $4,000 new 1-2 thousand would be a fair price used depending on how used.

So picked it up!!

Had trouble starting but the fuel pump has small seal so I suspect that’s the issue. Sprayed starting fluid and started up.

Thought it was leaking oil but the filter was loose.

Will need a tune up but I feel confident it’s pretty solid looks it great shape. No visible rust etc.

Any idea on fuel pump?
Spark plug?
Air filter?

Other maintenance?

Will post serial in a few.
