Onan Marquis 6500 LP will not start

Getting ready to take the coach out after a year of being idle (the coach that is, not me).

Generator will not start. Turns over all day long but no fire.

Manual says to check Control Fuse F2 and supplies a picture. Unfortunately this doesn't match mine.

Anyone have a clue where else F2 might be or any other thoughts?

Thanks in advance

Bill

You do have enough fuel in the tank and getting fuel to the carb? How about a spark to a plug?

Crank the gen from the remote start switch and see if after 2 seconds the throttle opens wide open, if it does not open theres s good chance the governor throttle linkage has popped loose.

Find left side hole on top where spark plug is located.
In there is a throttle rod, gently see if you can lift it, if you can thats the problem. Just remove the top left row of screws and front and rear top screws and lift up the top cover, then snap the plastic holder back into the governor rod.

If this is not the problem check this thread where theres a guide with lots more info and flightsystems.com to help you good luck.

Thanks everyone

There is about 3/4 of a tank of propane. And if I try to start it over and over you can smell a little propane. I haven't tried testing the spark yet.

The throttle does open so that doesn't seem to be this issue.

Have to try to see if there is a spark
