Starts and runs now, so thanks to all for the great suggestions. Never got a response from PowerParts, so didn't buy their carburetor. Got it to run on SeaFoam, but not gas, so that told me it HAD to be the carburetor. Found several new ones for $350, so once I decided I had nothing to lose by taking mine apart I did so. Cleaned everything, blew everywhere, pondered and puzzled of what was adjustable and what wasn't but should be. Finally pried the plastic altitude adjustment knob off the bottom of the bowl so I could adjust the mixture with the carb on the engine, and got it to run. For now it likes to be 3 and a quarter turns out! Weird, but can't argue with success.

So the engine starts and runs good, now, yielding a new problem. There is no AC output. I started a new thread with the title "Generator wont generate", so please don't respond here with those suggestions.

Everyone that offers assistance here is wonderful!
