ONAN QD7500 Diesel Generatir

Hey everyone hope everyone is having fun in the sun. I am having a issue with my Onan generator just shutting off and giving me a code 32. I checked every electrical connection clean them up replaced all batteries.

The generator will start and run all day with no load when I start to click breakers on when I get to the AC breakers it'll shut off.

Any suggestions some say it's the brushes and clips in order to service the brushes. Do I have to remove the generator completely from the chassis to service the brushes?

a tech once told me that if your generator is stalling there's usually only one of two issues - fuel and overheating. Sounds like your may be overheating when a load is applied. Have you checked your air filters, etc? Good luck let us know how it turns out.

onan code 32

PS - if you google "onan code 32" you'll find a bunch of people that have had the same issue. Sounds like it has something to do with "low cranking speed" - which could be caused by low oil pressure or airflow. Lot's of good stuff on this issue. Good luck!

Thank you. I've went thru my whole system. New batteries. (Batteries were 6 years old). Oil and filter changed air filter replaced. All electrical connection are cleaned and tight.
Replace coolant with new 50/50 mix.

Pulling generator out to replace belt and look at brushes and slip rings.
