Was planning to buy the Hawkshead brand but it would seem that Tire Traker sells a system that looks identical for less money.

Anybody know what the difference (if any) there are between the 2 products?

This is what Tire Traker say on their web page:

"We want you, the consumer, know the truth. We do not manufacture the TireTraker™ system, nor do the 2 other companies that sell this same system under a different name. We all import the system from the same overseas manufacturer, and we each distribute the system under our own name. The features and operation of each system is exactly the same, in spite of what any other distributor may tell you. The only difference you will find is the cost and length of warranty, which we all control individually."

If they are right - and why wouldn't they be - they come out cheaper and with a better warranty than Hawnshead for the identical product.

Or you may be able to purchase the exact same system directly from the overseas distributor. I did read somewhere that one person did exactly that.

Henrik,
I do believe they are all the same. As you know we have the Hawkshead which was purchased 2+ years ago and before the other two came along. The downside of the Hawkshead is that it is Canadian based so mail time for warranty items (due to customs) is longer.
All the Boomers said "hey".

Myself and 2 friends purchased the Tire Traker system in Quartszite last year and all three have worked well has done as advertised. It does seem to be the same as the Hawkshead system. I purchased 10 sensors and the repeater which I installed in the rear closet and tied into the closet light all for under $500. I purchased it from Daryl and Cheri Lawrence (936-329-2364). My friend had a bad sensor and they replaced it with no questions, very nice people to deal with.
