Out of propane gas - Now what?
We are at our park for 4 more months, I should've got gas before we pulled in, but now we are out and the wife would like to use the stove.
We have a motorhome with permanent (182 lb) tank and a 2 stage regulator. Can I go and get a 20# tank? Problem is, the hose connection going to the coach is AFTER the regulator and I assume the gas must be regulated. Should I buy another 2 stage regulator and attach it to the 20# tank then to the coach? Does it make a difference whether I have the 20# tank upright or upside down? I see "extend a stay" tees at CW and Amazon but they don't show a regulator - Seems I would need one ...

The extend a stay tee is connected between the coach propane tank and the coach regulator. It still uses the coach propane regulator.

They use the built in reg of your rig. They tie in before your rigs regulator. I have it and use all the time. Just use the on board for starting the fridge and travel. Easy going to get the small tanks.

The "Extend-a-stay" goes in before the regulator and takes a full pressure line from your 20 or 30 pound tank. You still have the regulator after to supply your rig. Just open the 20 pound tank very slowly or the emergency shut-off will stop the flow. You also have to have the MH tank turned off.
Good Luck and Happy cooking!

Anybody do propane delivery? Break camp and go fill up? Cook outside on a BBQ?

i'm almost certain you can use a tee after the built-in regulator.
i installed a tee after the regulator so that i can use the built-in tank propane for bbq. though i have not had a chance to use it for "extended stay", if need be, i won't be hesitant to plug in the hose from an external tank (with a regulator).

You should also be able to remove the POL fitting and regulator, from your built in tank and hook it to the BBQ tank, if the original hose is long enough.
ALWAYS use the BBQ tanks standing upright.

Your set up is for using the RV propane regulator for your BBQ
BUT one would NOT want to use that to connect another propane cylinder to supply RV with propane-----it would be 'unregulated' and have FULL cylinder pressure (100-300 PSI depending on temps).
RV propane system is only 0.4 psi
THAT is why any source used to supply RV should be connected before the RV regulator so downstream pressure is controlled.
OP........
Check with CG staff about propane delivery service.
Have a 100LB bottle delivered and set up by local propane vendor
Drive MH over to local propane vendor and get filled up

With a tank that size you should be able to get propane delivered to you.
Ask Google for local propane suppliers, call around until you find one that can deliver to you in a reasonable amount of time.

The RV park where your staying doesn't have propane for sale? If not I would bet they know of a local propane delivery service.

Tell the mobile propane your tank size and that you are empty so it would be worth their trip.
In the mean time, you could always pick up a countertop induction unit. I.e. an efficient hot plate of us older folk. I use one camping when I need multiple cooking surfaces and at home, well outside, when I want to cook something that will stink up the house. However I already had the necessary pots (e.g. a magnet will stick to it).
