Outside Faucet

The faucet/outside shower in my utility bay is all plastic and I broke it trying to turn it off. The cold water side just snapped and is spinning freely while the water is shooting out of it. I'm sitting in front of my house now...luckily. I've gotten the cover off the unit but can't see how to get the hoses disconnected from the back. Is removal of all the paneling necessary? Is there a shut off to just this area? If so I can live without the outside faucet for a while.

There are two large "wing" type nuts that fit around the fixture on the back side around the hot and cold inlets. You will need to remove the lines, same type of "nut" then the "wing" nuts to get the unit out.

When you purchase a replacement you can get a unit that is made of brass instead of plastic.

Man, that's a bear getting to the back side. But I got it off. Thanks.

The plastic pipe between the hot/cold split on our preious coach, replaced it with a brass one. I tried a new storage place on our current coach for our metal sewer pipe support and when I closed the cargo door it pushed up against the hot water control and broke it. I also replace it with a brass one.
