Pacbrake rebate $250

I thought I'd share some info I got from Pacbrake. Here is a rebate they are offering.

I'm thinking about upgrading my pacbrake. My current oem pacbrake seems to increase oil usage with excessive oil blow by when I use it. Anyone have any experience with a PRBX upgrade?

It is easy to replace the current Pacbrake; other than getting better braking at a lower RPM I don't think you will see any improvement. Check the clamps and exhaust flange's also. I had to weld a new flange on the exit flange as it was cracked. My Pacbrake was seized which required replacement.

Blowby won't change, I think it is a function of high RPM going down a hill. Try reducing your RPM and see if that helps.

I thought about doing it but traded off the rig instead. Brett Wolfe (CAT owners club) tested them and found they did help, but only at lower RPM.

On our coach, the PacBrake was seized when we bought it. Camping World stepped up to the plate and had it replaced (was seized and they could not free it up). Got the PRXB without specifying it!
Works great now!
