How tight should fittings be?
Water on the ground this morning. Changed out undersink water filter yesterday and may have disturbed the plumbing just enough to start the leak.
Both of the fittings under the sink at the water tank were not quite hand tight. I can see that the water originated at the upper fitting by the stain on the cover panel.

Link to two pictures of water heater and panel.

I would say "solidly hand tight" for those plastic fittings, meaning hand tight but put a bit of grunt into it when you do it. It i snot unusual for fittings in an RV to loosen up - the constant road vibration is the cause.

Thanks Gary, that's good to know. Now I can button it all back up.

As a side note. Fond memories each time I see your home base I think of my uncle from Ocala who provided a picnic for us at Silver Springs sometime before 1953. All of the fried frog legs you could eat, most probably from one of his old stomping grounds - the Ocala Nat'l Forest. Never had another frog leg that good.

We grow big frogs out here in the Forest! The lakes and ponds are full of them!
