Plumbing noise

When hooked up to city water keep getting horrible noise in my pipes.. I assume it's vibration from the water passing thru. Of course only happens when I turn the faucets on. Love my trailer but this is kinda bumming me out. Middle of the night turning the water on can wake everyone up. Thoughts?

Are you using a water pressure regulator to cut down the pressure?

Some campgrounds have big water pressure. You may be lucky to only have noise. Go out to the campground connection and cut the water valve to half. That should decrease the volume.Should stop the noise

You don't describe the noise so this may be may be a dumb question, but are you sure the pump is off when you're connected to city water?

That being said, we get kind of a light whining noise when connected to city water and we turn on a faucet. It is our inlet check valve. The check valve keeps water from flowing out the city water inlet when you're not connected to city water. The opening through the valve is rather small, so higher water flow can sometimes cause a noise. Partially closing the water valve at the pedestal as trackman suggests may help.

Are you hearing "Water Hammer"? By all means, use a regulator

Three noises and comments.

A constant HUMMMMMMMM every time you run water: Check valve opening and closing, not much you can do about it

LOUD rattle.. Did you remember to turn the water pump OFF when you hooked to city water?

Loud BANG when you turn water OFF, this is water hammer mentioned above A regulator may not help (or it might) but they do make devices that will. Ask for more info. I am having internet issues today.

Thanks for the replies.. Yes, am using a water pressure regulator. No help. The noise sounds and feels like a vibration in the pipes. I can reach out and touch them around the water intake..... I think it is something that I will have to get used to.
Used to have an Argosy and never had that problem....oh well.
