I know this has been discussed before, but to my knowledge never in a
satisfactory manner. I have a noticeable reduction in flow rate out
of faucets and shower, yet pressures in the incoming line are at 46 psi. (I have an
inline gauge for monitoring this). I checked the inlet screen on the
shower head and it's clean. Same for the inlet screen on the main
hose water supply connection-its clean. The Manibloc valves are
turned on properly. No pressure or flow reducer on the incoming
line.
Given the above, any thoughts on what else to check?

Slabman,
I had a simila problem this year. I found out that the screen on my kitchen faucet was not at the nozzle but was located at the entrance to the head. I have a pull out hose on mine. It was clogged. My shower faucet has the same screen. Disconnect the head from the hose. See if there isn't a screen there.
Hope that helps.

Not sure what you mean by the "head" on the kitchen faucet. Seems you aren't talking about the screen on the end of the faucet arm...is this the case? And once again...the shower screen is clear...is there something else you're referring to?

Do you have a whole coach water filter system? If so, maybe it's time to change the filter. I know it's time to change ours when the flow from faucets starts to decline.

Sure, I do. I also have a full-flow 3/4 in. pressure regulator, water softener, R. O. system and final filter. But it wouldn't be prudent to test this system with all these in line, so I bypassed them all just to troubleshoot this issue.

Bob , you should have a check valve at the city water connection point. It could be that the check valve is not opening fully and causing the low flow problem. You would have to R & R the connection fitting to determine if it is OK or not.

Whiz....I solved the problem. After finding flow rates were satisfactory in the sinks using both city water hookup AND the water pump, I isolated it to the shower system itself. Knowing the shower head was OK, I figured it had to be the mixing valve, so I took it apart, re-installed the cartridge and the rest of the "guts" and VOILA! it now works well! There are two outlets in the head which correspond to hot and cold and the cartridge holes which may not have been aligned, so I must have re-aligned the holes to give me full flow across the openings.
Now how they became mis-aligned is the question...hope it doesn't happen again. Now I have full flow with soft water in the shower. Life is good AGAIN!
