Portable Electrical Management Systems

Anyone had any experience with these? How necessary are they? We are fairly new full-timers and I am wondering if this is something that is necessary or maybe just "nice to have" type thing. $300 bucks Click image for larger version

Some places have power problems so you will be happy you have one. Most places don't seem to be an issue so it's moot. I can always go to dry camping mode of the power is bad. YMMV. I do carry a good DMM and have a line monitor I can use if I think I need it.

Thank you for your quick response! Excuse my ignorance but what do YMMV and DMM mean?

Howdy!

We been using one since we started fulltiming ten years ago. I've lost count of the times it has saved us. We started with a hard wired one. When we purchased our last RV we went with the portable. I like being able to check the RV site prior to setting up. If it has bad power you can move to another one hopefully.
