Any one have the Dometic cf110 portable compressor frig/freezer in use.
I know it's weight and power consumption(s) from the site. I know it shuts of the 12v if the voltage gets too low.

The questions are -
What is the priority for power if both are available at the same time ?
Will it switch between the 2 power sources automatically if either 1 goes off ?
How is it defrosted / Is there a drain available in the bottom once thawed ?

Thanks in advance as considering this for a second cooler to sit on the lower bay slideout drawer.

This PDF may help you.
The electronics would determined what voltage would be used, I'd say as your coach refrigerator if you have 110 present would use that, if 110 not present would switch to 12V's.
Defrost after removing contents, than wipe down walls after defrost. Has no drain.

Last year we bought a 64 cuft chest freezer, from Compact Appliance. This unit is 120/12 and will auto switch depending on which is available. The unit has a draqin, if needed. Never hooked it to 12 volt, not realy necessary, will stay cold for the hours of travel. Excellent unit, half the cost of the Dometic, and better built. At the time cost $599.00 with no shipping cost. Fits perfectly on the slide out tray, in the bay.

We have used one for several years (DW loves it) and I connected only the 12 volt line. When you have shore power, the converter supplies 12 volts to your batteries so no worries about about draing your batteries. When you don't have shore power it is more efficient to run directly from 12 volts instead of inverting 12 volts back to 120 vac. So there is no need to hook up the 120 vac in a coach application with a converter installed.
