We’re planning to redo our website here at Intervac Design with more of a focus on our RV units, and are looking for some good installation pictures. Because of the wide array of mounting options and different RV manufacturers installing in their own unique ways, we want to be able to show a collection of various installation photos to give people ideas for their own aftermarket install. Whether you’ve got a flush mount, hanging, or remote start InterVac; post up your installation photos and if we use it in our new website we’ll send you a free pack of replacement Hepa-style filtration bags.
I’ll start off with a couple of pics of one of my favorite aftermarket methods for installing a flush mount unit under the bed.

Andy,
This is a nice project that you've launched. Good luck with the new website. I hope that you will be able to get a few folks that will contribute pictures of their Intervac installations.

Here is mine. Installed under kitchen sink counter extension, in hollow cabinet wall where electrical outlet was easily tapped for hidden outlet connection. Convenient location to reach front and rear of coach with their long extend able vacuum hose. Not sure if I used the right link

My coach isn't handy, so no photos right now. Originally the Intervac was installed under the galley sink, but the wife asked me to move it out of there so now it is in a shallow cabinet on the other side of the coach by the dining table. There was an outlet nearby that was seldom used anyway - hard to get at under the table, so the Intervac is now plugged to that circuit. I added an outlet in the cabinet for it but tapped the power from the nearby outlet.

I just completed installing my InterVac in my 2005 Journey. I installed it in a cabinet in the kitchen that used to hold a rechargeable hand vac and flashlight. The cabinet was around a 1/4 inch too shallow but was easy to replace. The outlet was already in place so power was simple.
I am looking forward to showing you the pictures. I just put the RV back in storage after getting it ready for this years travel season. The InterVac installation was my upgrade project for this year.
I will take pictures sometime this week and upload them. There are many Journey owners looking to make use of this small cabinet. The flash light and hand vac rarely last because of the rechargable batteries.
It is a perfect place for the InterVac: - It is in the middle of the coach making access to the entire coach easy.
- The cabinet has an outlet inside it.
- The cabinet is at floor level.
- The Intervac is hidden behind the cabinet door when not in use.
Thanks for this thread. It is a great idea for people wanting to add the power and performance that comes with owning and InterVac vacuum.

I would like to add a central vac, but I want to vent the exhaust outside the coach instead of having it blow the "filtered" air back inside. Is there such an option with an InterVac system?

Thanks Gary and Scott, I look forward to the pics.
Bill, Yes, we have an option for an overboard exhaust vent. We don't have a standard kit for it because the installation gets fairly customized for this type of setup. You can call (888-499-1925) or email us and we can set up a custom package with all of the fittings, hoses, and parts for your particular installation.
