I have a carefree 20 foot awning and wanted to know if anyone has or know of. how much it costs to switch over to a power awning , can it be done with a 20 ft awning, fabric is still good on old one, or should i replace the whole thing, thanks

I would try their web site for that info. I would leave a manual operation less headaches and problems related to Automatic operations.
Do a search on automatic awning problems in forum.

We had our 20' Weather Pro awning replaced last fall. It cost about $3000, and that's with all the wiring already in place. That was also for acrylic fabric. Vinyl would be a little less. Don't know if you could reuse fabric from a manual awning or not.

We have a VIA winnebago and have a problem with the automatic awning...It started to go out but just stopped a foot or so out. Now it won't extend or retract...no movement at all.

Carefree did make a conversion kit. I looked at the install instructions, and it was a fairly big job, as the existing arms are replaced as part of the switch. Would need 3 people, two of them pretty strong to do it.

A mail order company that I got a replacement power sunvisor from, in El Cajon, CA, had them for $328 last winter.

My Discovery had a Carefee electric awning. I said "HAD" because the wind destroyed it the first of July. If your's is like mine the arms wouldn't lock down- just blew up at trhe slightest breeze. At first it would not extend; but after 2 days work I got the arms set & the straps locked right.....It was replaced with the Carefree Manual crank out. No billowing out when under way(so they say). I'm happy with the new system. Lot less hassle than electric.
Safe travels...
