Power issue

We have a 2002 Tiffin Allegro Bus 40 RP 350 OP and i accidentally hit the switch by the door that shuts down all the power, now i can't get anything to come back on even after turning the switch back on. Anyone ever have that happen and have any suggestions?

There is a special solenoid/relay called a latching solenoid that is controlled by the switch and may be in the exterior electrical compartment under the driver's seat. The first thing to check is see if you have 12v power to the battery side of the relay. If not, then a fusible link may be blown or the main battery disconnect may not be passing power. The second thing to check is see if the 12v operating terminal is getting power from the door switch. This will be one of the smaller terminals on the relay. It should be just a momentary pulse of power when the door switch is activated. The latching relay stays activated until a reverse pulse unlatches it. If you have power to the relay and power from the door switch, then the likely suspect is a failed relay which does happen.

I suggest you find the solenoid or the mechanical swithch, (whichever Tiffin used in your '02 Allegro), and bypass it.

Try pushing the "boost" switch and while holding it in boost switch the batteries on.

The selenoids often are magna latch and require a good pulse to change state.

But if the battery that powers them is dead then they will not change state thus try the boost switch.
