Problem with Dometic CCC2 thermostat

We have two Penguin II High-Capacity heat pumps with the CCC2 thermostat. They are only a couple of years old and have been working perfectly.

We sleep with the fans on "Manual" for the noise, kind of like a sound machine. At 4:30AM this morning the fans started cutting off when the set temp was reached, starting again when the temps dropped, just like they were in the Auto fan mode. I did the factory reset on the CCC2 but that didn't help.

Has anyone had this problem?

Well, I may have found the problem. We discovered this morning that the salesman's switch was intermittent. I'm sure that was the result of never using it. I could just touch it and the lights would go off. After turning it on and off for a dozen times or so it seems to be OK. I suspect that during the night it decided to lose connection and momentarily turned off the 12VDC. We'll find out tonight!

If anybody has any other theories I would appreciate hearing them!

WRONG! Same problem last night! Fan was set on "Medium", yet both A/C units would intermittently go off, compressor and fan!

I've had both units on this morning, set the same way, and neither one has gone off! I can't figure out what is happening!

I called Dometic customer service today and they are sending me a new CCC2 thermostat. They didn't even ask for my proof of warranty!
