I have a 1991 Overland. The unit which controls my air contidioner has gone out.... It was a Pulse Air Unit AC 1157 from Trans Tech. No one and I mean NO ONE has this unit anymore.

My Question is can I install this ECC II unit in place of the Pulse Air Unit?

Jordanh62, welcome toiRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us and I hope you will take the opportunity to introduce yourself in the New Members Check In forum. I am not sure of your electrical skills but the ECC2 can be retrofitted into your system if you know what you are doing. Have you by-passed the Pulse Air system and confirmed the air conditioners themselves are working properly? If not and you need some help let us know in the Appliance and Systems forum. Enjoy the website and keep us posted.

Mr. Wizard,

Thanks for the information. Teh air conditioners themselves work. I am going to bypass the pulse air and see if can make it work without it. You sait the ECC II system should work on it. So I just have to plug and play so to speak, right?

Thanks again

Jordan

No, it will probably not be a plug and play. That is why I mentioned your level of electrical skills. There are probably different connectors and or connection methods and you will need to know the wiring for both units to properly R & R the system. One that is well versed in AC and DC electrical systems would have no problem retrofitting in the ECC2 system.

I understand. I've had the coach for 7 years and am just realizing the pulse air unit is an add-on not standard equipment. I have verified that the units both work. I am certain I can make the ECC work with proper instructions and time....

I really appreciate your help. This forum has been a Great.....

Again Thank you, I'll let you know how it goes....
