We just installed the EMS-HW50C on a 2008 Holiday Rambler Endeavor using a new Esco transfer switch and Intellitec 50 amp Smart Energy Management System. It is installed before the transfer switch. All wiring has been double-checked, the sensors on the correct wires and facing the correct direction and we believe the 50 power supply to be good in our storage unit (less than 2 years old). We tested the MH using an extension cord and everything was fine and the Intellitec EMS was properly light and no error codes on the HW50 display. We unplugged, pulled the MH into the storage unit and plugged in without the extension cord. This time, the transfer switch clicked on and then off, we received the PE-7 error code indicating line frequency high. We tried several times with and without the extension cord with the same results. I tried the bypass and it indicated OFF on the remote display but the Intellitec EMS lights did not come on indicating any service. However, we did have power to the microwave, the TVs came on although we couldn't get either A/C to turn on, not even the fans.
Question: If we bypass the EMS-HW50C, shouldn't we get full power as if we didn't even have the EMS-HW50C unit?
FYI, I forgot to turn the A/Cs off when I went back outside, turned the storage unit 50 amp breaker off for several minutes and turned the EMS bypass off. When I turned the 50 amp breaker back on, the A/Cs came on immediately although just the fans because of the A/C delay, and the EMS now seems to be working fine although I didn't test the bypass again. Does this make sense?
Thanks for your help!
Dennis
