Propane line rubbed thru

One of the 3/8" propane lines (not sure if it goes to the fridge or the furnace, it just disappears) was rubbing on the edge of the chassis frame near where it goes thru the floor of the coach. Luckily I found it before anything worse happened, could hear it hissing when I turned the tank on.

My question is how would you repair this. To do a complete new copper line will take some disassembly work. I'm thinking of using a ferule connector. Good or bad idea?

Thanks, Bill

I did the copper line repair with a ferule line coupling on my old 2000 Adventurer. Worked fine for me. Just check your connection with soap bubbles when your finished.

Code requires that double flare connections be made on LP gas lines. You will need a flaring tool and double flare adapter to make the repair. Splicing should be no problem if you use a flare union. I would run a new line if it were mine.
