I have a Propane water heater Atwood MPD 93756 G6A-8E ignites for 4 seconds and then the ignition failure light comes on inside RV. Tried cleaning jet, adjusting foil screen and tweaking igniter position.
HELP - Trying to go on a trip tonight if I can get this fixed!

Are you trying to start it on the gas or the electric. Sometimes after a hard rain, I have to turn mine on the electric or gas untill the condensation is gone before it will work right.

It's pouring now and I noticed the drain plug is leaking.
I'm guessing from the looks of it I could use some lime cleaner.
If I dry it with a towel, will that do it?

What do you mean by "turn mine on the electric or gas"?

Wow, the same thing is happening with the furnace on that side of the coach. The one on the other side of the coach works fine. The furnace and hot water heater are right next to eachother.... any ideas?

FINALLY - simple solution, it was bad gas in the line, started furnace on that side 20 times and it finally stayed lit, then started the heater after 5 tries - all working fine now. Thanks.
