Go to a hydraulic hose company that services construction equipment and get a hose built exactly what you are taking out. Zero need to change the size bigger. Just more expensive hose. The pressure and volume to the cylinder won't change with bigger hose. Just more money and harder to install.
Going smaller is different. The hose shouldn't be the flow volume restriction in the system.
The further out in the sticks you go, the cheaper the hose will be to be made. Some NAPA automotive stores make simple hydraulic hoses as you wait too.
