Condensation is a more likely cause of the corrosion you are referring to. The RV's plumbing lines are not insulated and susceptable to the temperature differences between what is in the line and the surrounding air. An old military saying comes to mind - "Don't fix what aint broke"
Also, when fixing an actual leak, rather than using a crimping tool (you must have a go-no go gauge to make sure the crimp is perfectly round - easy to do when first building an RV, but very hard to do when replumbing an RV), I would recommend using the newer 35 series connectors from Sea Tech. They are a simple "press-on" fitting and can be used with different types of line materials.
