We have a 2007 HR Arista. The refrigerator is set at its lowest setting and still in freezes overnight. No problem during the day since we assume opening and closing it during the course of the day lowers its overall temperature. Anyone else have this problem and if so, what is the solution, please? Thanks for your help.

Make sure the temp sensor is attached to the aluminum fins. Sounds like it was dislocated somehow.

The most likely cause is a thermistor failure. You can find instructions specific to your refrigerator on how to test it on line. Not an expensive part.

I think your terminology is wrong. If the refrigerator is too cold, you want the highest setting, not the lowest. Check that the sensor is attached to one of the metal fins on the back wall of the refrigerator. It will not register the actual temperature of the unit unless in contact with the cooling fins.

Sounds like a bad thermistor, either bad connection, check for a good connection at the point of contact with the fins. Thermistors are a low cost item [around $15.] If bad your refrigerator will not run at your desired temperature settings properly. Raising and lowering it on your fins will change inside temp settings as well. Check your connections on the thermistor as well. Also #9 is your coldest setting #1 is your warmest setting.

If you move the thermistor, just move it a little bit at a time and wait 24 hours for temp to stabilize.

Good advice. The other thing I have done is put the remote indoor outdoor thermometer inside to check the inside temps and make adjustments on the temperature settings.
