Happy 4th all!
I have a 2007 Gulf Stream BT Cruiser. It has been sitting in the driveway for a couple of months since we got home from the south. Just went out to start the refer to keep the beer cold for todays party and I can not get the refer to start.
When plugged in the indicator light is on but it is not running, the "check" light is not on. When I tried running on gas the "check" light comes on.
I checked the plug in the garage and there is power and other things requiring electric in the rig run.
I have had the rig plugged in off and on since parking it to keep the batteries charged.
Any Ideas out there?
The refer is a Dometic.
Thanks
Don

Its slow to cool down freezer will cool first than box.
May have air in LP line fridge will keep trying to ignite until air is removed.
Needs a few hours to cool box.
Happy 4th

Thanks for the quick reply 007. i have it plugged in and on AC so we shall see. However, I do not hear it doing anything, no click or hum. Seems to me that when we are on the road I can hear it turn on at night when all is quiet.
Have never had the refer "maintained". Manual does not talk about regular maintenance. Also,Can not find the fuse, i assume ther is power since the inside light goes on, but the fuse panel cover does not list a fuse location for the refer?

If its plug into 110 will cool on 110 heaters while on AUTO would have to force into LP mode to hear LP burner on.
You chimney flue may be dirty and needs to be tapped gently to release rust in chimney. Cover burner ports with paper and clean out rust dust with vac.
Burner tube could have cobwebs to be cleaned out also.

Unplug the fridge for 5 minutes (take off cover outside of coach). power cord on left inside. This will reset it. Then plug it back in. Everyone's right -- hot weather can really mess it up. We recently did this after driving for 3 hours in 105+º freeway temps.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I am printing it out and adding it to the other trouble shooting material I have.
As one would expect 007 was right again.
After a couple of hours the freezer was cold and after almost 4 hours the refer was cold enough to "add beer". I am still a rookie after 3 years at this and one of my biggest faults is the lack of patience!
It was 90 degrees out and I did not think that it would take so long to re cool it.
Good experience though for next month when we pack up to head out again. I will be sure to re start it early
Thanks again
Don
