Refrigerator Compressor Relay

Just had our residential refrigerator repaired. Apparently the compressor relay was shorted out which caused the compressor to go into a "short cycling" routine. It would run for about ten seconds, shut off for about 20 seconds then repeat. Is this just a defective relay or was it damaged by a condition like low coach batteries or some other noob mistake?

MSW or PSW inverter ?

MSW inverters cause electric motors to draw more amps and run hotter.

And what fridge make & model?

I've not seen other reports like yours, but widespread use of residential fridges is relatively new in RVs and actual use experience is just starting to appear on sites like this. Fridges fail in stick homes too, but they aren't widely reported like Rv problems are.

No idea, we pick up the coach tomorrow and I'll look then.

Whirlpool WRB322WMBM I believe. It's not the same as Tiffin installed in their later 2015 36LAs but I've seen pictures of the same refrigerator in 2014 Tiffin 36LAs.

We bought the coach with the fridge in it two months ago but I believe it's what was in the build in late 2014.

The dealer had quite a time getting the refrigerator out of the mounting so I hope it doesn't fail again. If it does I'll most likely tackle the job myself as the warranty we got only covers the Whirlpool tech and not the removal/remounting of the refrigerator. Dealer service labor fees are astronomical.
