I have a Dometic Side by Side Double Door Refrigerator & it appears the Cooling Unit is going out. It's still cools, but bearly sufficent to keep the contents cool. I would like to replace the Cooling Unit, but want to make sure I'm dealing w/a good supplier. I live in Lake Havasu City, AZ, during the winter & would like to get it fixed before leaving this spring. Any suggestions on a reputable supplier.

I had the same problem last month . The fridge & freezer seemed about 15 degrees warmer than spec when checked with a thermometer. The rv tech ended up replacing the control board and everything seems to work fine since. It was on warrantee so no idea how much the board was worth.

I'll tell you like I tell my customers....."you can start throwing parts at....or you can have it diagnosed, and get it fixed right, the first time"

My cooling unit went out, had yellow powder around the burner area and the unit shut down. I replaced the cooling unit with an Amish one last year. Works just fine and they're good to work with.

Honestly, we had 4 new Dometic's, or parts thereof, under warranty, NONE of them would keep contents at safe levels of cool. After 2 years, and quite an expense of teraveling to different service centers, including the factory servicde center in Elkhart, we TOSSED the junk out, and put in a residential unit.
End of problem, cool food, cool beer, cool wife, cool me!
Life is better now...took a long time to get over the frustration, but, we did...
Have fun...
