I recently bought my first RV. It has a norcold refrigerator in it. It works fine on AC or Gen. but when switched to LP the red X comes on briefly, goes out, then comes on again after about 7 seconds and stays on. Help. What should I look for?

I suspect you have air in the lines. If you routinely shut off your unit for a period of time, you may find this is not unusual. After sitting for a month or so, our Norcold usually takes 3 tries on LP before it will stay lit. Have checked all lines, etc....no leaks at all. If you don't have an owner's manual, suggest you contact Norcold. I have found them very helpful....recalls notwithstanding. Please let us know what you find out. Thanks!

Others have had insects build nests in the burner nozzle and block the propane flow. Cleaning the nozzle and the flue area might help.

To clear lines, I fire up all burners on the range for a few seconds first. That way I see the flames. It seems to help get the ref and water heater fired quicker.
